This course teaches the diver to be aware of overhead environments and the common rules used to negotiate these environments safely. It leans heavily on tank staging, line work and out-of-air drills. The course is designed to train divers in safe cave diving and the technical utilization of EANx for cave exploration.
What do I need to start?
- If entering through modular route, must be qualified as Introductory Cave Diver with proof of a minimum of 50 logged dives. If not qualified as introductory cave diver must have proof of 100 dives or sufficient experience doing technical dives to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training.
- Minimum of 18 years old.
What will I do?
This course includes a minimum of 480 minutes of Cave bottom time within at least 12 cave dives, in a minimum of 3 cave systems. The course covers use of lines, blacked out drills, lost diver drills, dives no deeper than 39 m, unless technical diver trained. If already EANx qualified, EANx may be used on dives.
