This course is designed to train divers already involved in deep diving to safely perform exploration dives on Closed Circuit Rebreathers requiring extended decompression profiles. The course provides divers with the necessary knowledge to perform dives outside of training up to 120m.
- This program is designed to train CCR Divers already involved in deep diving activities to more safely conduct exploration dives requiring extended decompression profiles and helium-based gas mixture. This program is not intended to be used as an enticement to divers who are content to remain in normal Trimix diving limits.
- Trimix affords a safer means for deep-water exploration for divers who dive deep or perform with a clear head at depth. The IANTD Trimix Diver Program requires the diver to be self-sufficient/reliant.
What do I need to start?
- Qualified as IANTD Trimix Diver or Equivalent.
- Must have proof of 100 Trimix dives or sufficient Technical Diving experience to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training.
- Minimum of 21 years old.
What will I do?
This course includes one dive made between 45m and 60m to develop new skills. At least 3 dives must be made to depths ranging from 66m to 120m. The course includes a minimum of 300 minutes of in-water time and at least one dive in excess of 100m but no greater than 120m.
